Game day!

I can't believe how quickly the days, weeks, months are flying by?!  Although, there are definitely moments when it seems like it's been forever since Nate said goodbye, I know the days are passing quickly thanks to our busy schedule and our wonderful friends that our helping keep it full.  We enjoyed another game day with our fellow full-time homeschool friends last friday.  Here are a few pics from our fun day.  :)
Reciting Ps. 139:1,2  "Oh Lord you have searched me and known me.  You know my sitting down and rising  up.  You understand my thoughts afar off."
Slaeter wasn't in the mood for "school" on friday and preferred some play time with the Leininger's dog.  :)  He's gonna need a puppy when we return to Virginia, no doubt about it!
 Making paper mache Easter eggs.

 Music~

Filling plastic eggs with beans to make Egg shakers~

Welllllllllllll,...

"Wa-elllllllllllll", as Audrey would say in her unique tone and accent, our poor little caterpillar didn't survive.  That's right.  3rd time is not the charm for us.  So, we've moved on.  :)  My always considerate mom bought some seeds for the girls to plant and care for a few weeks ago.  Last week, she helped my girls transplant them into bigger pots.  I have a feeling that this little project will be much more rewarding and much easier on the my poor nerves.  The caterpillar was causing me soooo much anxiety! :)  I have never stressed so much over any non-human living thing, especially an insect!

Houston trip (part 3) - Easter!

We ended up spending Easter with our good friends, the Faircloths.  You know, the type of friends that you can go years without seeing much and when you get together it's like you saw each other yesterday?  The original plan was to spend Easter with just Matt and Sandy.  However, our plans took a quick change for the better, when Sarah ( bottom left in pyramid) invited us to spend Easter with them.  We had so much fun reminiscing, laughing...  and planning to meet up for a sort of S. Padre reunion this summer!  Now that all of us have a couple kids, I predict some crazy, fun, crazy-fun times.  :)
All growed up.  ;)
Nah, not really.

Still lookin' good, better than ever!  ;)

Houston Trip (part 2)

The primary reason we headed to Houston was to see my beautiful sister Sandy!  She is expecting her first baby and we are ecstatic that it is going to be a BOY!
One of the places we knew we wanted to go to while visiting Sandy in Houston was the Children's Museum.
The museum was larger than I expected and the kids were eager to get inside.
This "thing" (because I can't remember then name) immediately caught the kids attention... I knew this place was going to be a hit.
So, here we go...  it's late and once again, I'm blogging late at night.  I'm exhausted.  This going to be primarily a picture post. I may post more details later.  :)  Don't hold your breath.

 Check out my sweet ride.

 My little Einsteins  :)

 Good times.  Good times.  hahaaaa

I thought it was cool how authentic the Mexico themed area was.  Even the market was legit!

                       Reminds me of my Abuelita...

Paleta anyone?  I savored every bite of my paleta.  I had been CRAVING one for the past year!
The museum had more areas than I captured on film (or I guess I should say, memory card).  Some the rooms mimicked countries, others were created to give the kids an opportunity to explore different careers.

Of course, our local grocery store, H.E.B

Anyone wanna head down stairs so we can surf?
Enough of this fake water...  ;)  The next day we enjoyed lounging at Matt and Sandy's pool at the apartment.

And later, a delicious dinner at BJ's.  Courtesy of my dad!

Future Spurs Fan.  Maybe we can actually make it past the first round of the playoffs by the time this little guy is watching. :p

       Everything was delicious!!!
